Hi,

Living on the Somerset /Devon border I cover Devon, Cornwall and The Scilly Isles, Geographically a very difficult area to engage with. Luckily most people are on the Internet and chat through email but still the help line is valuable for those without.  I am involved with the Exeter and Taunton meeting and occasionally travel to Bristol and Bodmin when work allows. I am always on the look out for assistance in the area.

It may not be obvious that most of us are fully employed and as such are very limited to the amount of time we can allocate voluntarily to the Beaumont society. But even so I manage to meet some members frequently and sit on a Police Liaison Group assisting with diversity policing matters in the D & C police. Through the help line number I have come into contact with a lot of professionals in the area.

I work closely with the local LGBT trust Intercom and have great assistance from them in producing information, leaflets and networking.

My trans status is as yet unresolved and I believe this to be true for many of us, I wish to improve the information available. Currently I am married with children and a Grandchild and love them all dearly. They are very supportive and accepting of my wishes.

My hope is to get organisations in the area communicating freely and openly, and results so far are encouraging.
